Book Review of The Diary of an Immortal

My Review
The Diary of an Immortal fascinated me and took me to realms that I never thought could be brought together to manifest a perfect masterpiece. Incredible story clearly showcasing the creativity and imagination of the author!
When I was in the first few chapters, it occurred to me that it might be one of the immortal stories where the protagonist of the story becomes evil and a hero rises to stop him. But in the contrary the protagonist of the story Steven goes on to kill the antagonist of the story Chang Sou.
Steven having served as a doctor during the German’s World War II, discovers the immortality pills at Dachau prison camp. The pills have an effect on him, when he realises that he can heal almost in an instance and has powers that mortals fear of, it is immortality itself.

Having lost his life to the War, he begins on a quest to find true happiness in China, with his uncle Albert and Jennifer. In his quest to find the truth of immortality he stumbles upon a 2000 year immortal Chow Li. After meeting him he discovers that Buddhists teach that  to extend one’s life, is a punishment in itself.
And he discovers that there is another immortal a Buddhist who has become evil and threatens to conquer the world, if not stopped will create havoc. Chow Li can stop him but being a Buddhist stops him from harming anyone, as the religion teaches non – violence.
Join Chow Li and Steven in the quest to defeat the evil and restore peace in the world.
The story was really captivating and the genre is quite different from that of the ordinary. It will take you in the journey from World War II to the world of immortals and will tell you the tale of the immortal who searches for the reason and the truth behind  of immortality.
And to add an twist in the story there are telepathic conversations between the immortals and even space travels. Anything on space and phenomenon that can’t be explained are my favorite. I just fell in love with the book as it delivered to me a story beyond my expectations and took me to a realm where imagination reigns supreme.

About the book

THE DIARY OF AN IMMORTAL (1945–1959) is the story of twenty-one-year-old U.S. Army combat medic Steven Ronson, a man who escapes the constant inundation and threat of death in World War Two after he discovers an immortality formula designed for Adolf Hitler during the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp in April of 1945.

Steven begins consuming the immortality formula and, after realizing that aging and death no longer control his life, travels to Manhattan to realize his childhood dream of becoming a jazz saxophonist on 52nd Street. The immortality formula gives him supernatural powers and fantastic musical abilities. His performance catches the attention of a disgraced British missionary and his adopted niece who knew the Buddhist monks in China that have guarded the original formula for thousands of years.

After a series of disturbing and prophetic visions, Steven accepts an invitation from the ex-missionary to journey to Xian. In a mountain monastery outside of the city, Steven discovers the incredible truth about the formula and the monks, and the interstellar origins of Jesus Christ and the human race. But time is running out−the German occultists who helped bring Hitler to power in the 1930s have selected another Aryan messiah, and this time he has the formula. Steven cannot allow the nightmare he experienced in Germany to happen again.

Book Review of Finding Juliet

My Review

Arjun the protagonist of the story is after finding his Juliet. Arjun has recently moved from Hyderabad to Bangalore. The story starts with Arjun sharing his love life with his friend Krish in a pub.

Arjun has quite a number of girlfriends, from Shraddha with whom he falls in love but acts as if she is his friends and loses her as a friend of Shraddha proposes her and our protagonist loses her. Now again he falls in love with Neha when he is in his 3rd year of his engineering and spending a quite a good time with her, plans to propose her. But as he does so, she rejects her stating that she has only considered him as her friend.

Shattered and heart broken he calls his childhood friend Anjali, to console him. She in turn helps him to overcome the situation and with her help he turns back to his studies and even scores well in his exams.

Now will Arjun, find his love again after two back to back failures in the love world.

Read on to find out who is the chosen one for Arjun.

I loved the story and the best part about the book was that it showcases the emotions of what a girl would have felt in the same circumstance as a boy would have felt. And how the thought process of a girl differs from that of a boy.

The story-line was great, but what I didn't like about the story was that after reading through the pages, it was quite predictable as to who will be the Juliet, apart from that it was a great story with all the “TAADKA” of life and a perfect blend of spices mixed together to form a great story.

Book Review of Millionaire Training by Tami Yaari.

“No matter how long the room has been in darkness, two days or a thousand years, the moment you turn on the light, the room is lit.”

One who is rich I his/her thoughts is rich beyond any materialistic acquisitions in life even money.

The author describes money and how can it impact a person’s life and how it changes the perspective of a person towards the world around him once he learns the tricks of making money.

The author quotes “When people earn well, they are calmer, have more self-confidence and become more generous.” Yeah! It’s true. Once you can find the treasure you have been long searching for, you will need to replicate it and earn even more and in the process understand how the cash flows.

The book describes how the money has changed over time and how it will impact our future.

This book will help you in every possible way to make money and with some brilliant examples will show you the path which you need to tread to understand how to make money from the simplest of your talents you possess.

The book has showcased how the emotion of a person changes, once they posses more money, why they fear money even and how to let go of the fear.

The author wants you to reprogram yourself and to learn the process of making money, with a few exercises she has made.

I believe once you finish doing all the exercises she has asked you to do, it will change the way you have looked at money and will give a crystal clear view of why you need to make money, which is more important.

I remember a quote that I learnt in Network Marketing

“If you know how to do the job you will be the employee but if you know why to do the job you will always be the boss.”

It’s your WHY? That matters the most!

Incredible book to help you sky rocket your thought process and become financially rich.

Read an Excerpt:

Emily stepped back from him and shook her head. “Oh, you know damn well what I mean. You know what, Derek? I’m done having this conversation with you. I’m so done with this conversation and I’m so done with you,” Emily spat out angrily before brushing past him.

“Emily, wait,” Derek said, catching her by her arm. “Where are you going?”

Emily spun around and gave him a bitter look before looking down at his hand gripping her arm. “Leave my arm,” she said in a low yet threatening voice, “And why do you care where I’m going? It’s none of your business.”

Derek didn’t leave her arm in spite of her warning and said, “Em, you’ve had too many drinks. You can’t drive in this condition. I’ll drop you home.”

Emily jerked her arm free from his grasp and replied in a bitter voice, “Thank you, but no. I’m perfectly capable of getting myself home on my own. I don’t need you to drop me home. Do you get it, Derek Thorpe? I DON’T NEED YOU!” Emily yelled the last words, causing a few people to look their way.

About the Author:

Veronica Thatcher is an exciting new contemporary romance author. Ever since she was very young, she’s dreamed of becoming a doctor when she grew up. While still forging ahead with that, majoring in pre-med in college, she unwittingly stumbled upon a new dream—becoming a published author. Some may call her an introvert or a wallflower, but she has always found she could express herself better in written, rather than spoken, words. However, never in her wildest dreams had she envisioned she would pursue writing as a prospective career, not just a hobby. Her love for writing goes hand-in-hand with her love for a good romance novel—whether it be a feel-good, sweet romance or a dark, suspenseful one. When she’s not studying, reading, or writing, she is usually found blasting her favourite songs, sometimes singing and dancing along to them.  She dabbles in a number of activities, including painting, karate, singing and dancing. She is a huge chocoholic – probably the biggest – and she is an ice-cream junkie too. She considers herself technologically handicapped forever and has no shame in admitting that. She also deems chocolates her boyfriend, Patrick Dempsey the love of her life, and Friends her life!

Her first book, A Way Back Into Love, is slated for release in February 2017, and she hopes readers will enjoy it as much as she enjoyed writing it. You can reach Veronica through Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, Wattpad and Gmail.

Book Review of Someone to love

My Review

The best message that I received from the book is

“Do you know what I wish someone had told me?” Ma had asked.

‘What?’

‘That we all have very little time.’

“Live, don’t just exist.”

The beauty and the elegance with which the author has described the scenes will keep you spellbound. I was completely immersed in the story and the intricate description of human feelings.
How can someone so elegantly describe the storyline touching the human emotions?

Hats off to the author for pulling out a brilliant story from her story reserve and thanks for sharing the book with the world!

The separation, hatred and staying far apart from the one you love and at the same time meeting your love after a decade. How does one stay away from the person you love for so long and the moment you see him so close to you, can you still stay away?

Ruchita Mishra has described what happens when the soul mates meet after such a brief period of time. Read the book to find out more about Athrav and Koyal, the two lovebirds of the story.

From being the best friends from school to strangers at latter part of their life, each having had gone though one’s turmoil of life, will it be easy to find the lost love or is it lost forever?

Someone to Love will take you in a journey of finding the true delicacies of life and how do you find your true love even though it is far from you.

I just wish the person I love can come back to me at some point of life and honestly speaking I would love to steal her for a moment and never return.

Long lost love! Can I or will I find her again?

Still searching for the one question where did I go wrong and did I really do any mistake proposing
her?

Can you please come back? Please!!

'I received a copy from Writersmelon in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.'

About the Book

Not everyone is lucky enough to find this kind of love. Koyal and Atharv are childhood friends. They are also soulmates. Confidantes. Kindred spirits. They are made for each other – only, neither of them seems to have figured it out just yet. As they grow into adulthood, they turn to each other in sorrow and joy, only becoming closer. But then one day, something happens and their rare friendship is cruelly transformed into something a lot like hatred. Atharv, scarred and hurt, fumes with anger, while impetuous Koyal presses the self-destruct button.

Years later, just when they’ve both found peace within themselves, their paths cross again. And destiny, that strange creature, has a few tricks up her sleeve. Will these two ever forgive each other? Or have they already lost their one chance to find someone to love?

Book Review of Puzzle of Fate

My review

The book asks you a question like

“Is your fate predetermined or

Can you change it?”

Well it is a pretty tough job for anyone to answer it. The next second I was thinking like, how can I change fate? Is it even possible even if I do, won’t it be called as fate?

How can we be sure about fate and I was all geared up to find the answer for the question. The pages that followed had quotations on fate or destiny as you call it.

I loved the quotes and those are really inspiring and will change your attitude towards life for sure. Incredible stuff!!

But as I moved ahead in the quest of finding the answer, I was disappointed with the fact that instead of inventing a new way, the author chose to elaborate the ideas, factors and sub factors that are related to a person’s fate.

The author has made a concept of “House of Fate” which will help you in better understand the fate and the factors relating to it.

From genes to environment to economic status of parents, to death in a society or pet to community to leaving one’s country. The author has elaborated a person’s life in details and how different circumstances affect a person mentally and psychologically.

I enjoyed a major part of the book about fate but I wished for the author to teach me the tricks of the trade to change my fate and propel my life in the way I did want, but it became as a Moral Science class for me and mostly I thought that it can replace Home Science class in colleges.

The book has so much to teach about a person’s life that you don’t need to read any other book about fate than this book. Superb work and an incredible effort by the author to describe Fate as he believed in!

About the book

Is your fate predetermined, or can you change it?
Written by a scientist and inventor with a PhD from MIT, "Puzzle of Fate" systematically fits together the myriad factors that build and shape the fate of any given person and provides a method for mapping the way to the best possible future-the Unique Summit.
Drawing on a wide range of disciplines to present a pioneering approach to self-discovery and self-improvement, "Puzzle of Fate" introduces the concept of the "House of Fate," a configuration of six interconnected groups of factors that, taken together, encompass the whole of human experience. The unique, science-based conclusion of the book is that fate is the logical outcome of interactions between these six groups of factors.
Grouped into the factors that individuals have no control over, those that allow limited control, and the one with reasonable control, these aspects of life are explored in great detail. Readers are then invited to make the most challenging and potentially valuable examination of their lives.
Through awareness of the six groups of factors as well as the concepts of Happiness and Quality of Life, readers are ultimately encouraged to manage their fates and reach their Unique Summit.

Book review of Artificial Gravity

About the Book

Geologist Alex Cave receives an urgent message about an unusual geologic event in Iceland, and descends deep into the lava tube of an ancient volcano.
He discovers a 180-million-year-old alien artifact of incredible power, but before he can take it to a safe location, it is stolen and activated, and begins changing the orbit of the moon.
He must also deal with the kidnapping of his live-in girlfriend and her ten-year old daughter, and as if that wasn’t bad enough, a massive emerald asteroid with a core of solid gold is on a collision course with Earth and will impact in six-days.

My Review

The world of cosmos has always fascinated me and till date keeps me in the hunt to read new discoveries that are happening in our solar system and beyond.

This is the only world where your imagination is more important than your knowledge and every time you look into space there is something new happening ironically speaking something might have happened some million years ago and we see or discover it today.

Alex Cave series is just an incredible testament to the cosmological world, which breaks the boundaries of imagination and takes you to a world where the impossible happens and you bear witness to the fascinating world that is unrevealed.

Alex a geophysics teacher is called to Iceland to look into the gravitational changes that makes molten lava fly out of a volcano. How can such a thing happen and who can be behind that?

Alex leaves to find out the mystery and the as you keep on reading you will find out the adventure that follows.

On other part of the world Alex has a beautiful girlfriend Fala and her daughter, Halona and a dog Barney. Due to the adventurous nature of Alex he is constantly on the move around the world to solve the next mystery. Fala doesn’t like this adventure junkie and is irritated when Alex moves out of town or in fact country to solve the mysteries of the world.

Torn apart between his love for solving the mysteries of the world and his love for Fala he has to choose either of the both. And it is going to be a tough task!

The story illuminates the life of Alex and his emotion that forces him to choose between love and profession, this story will make enlighten you about the mysteries of life and how should you deal with your own life.

Nevertheless there is a gravity machine that is causing all the havoc and moreover it has changed the orbit of moon. And two villains Essex and Janice Sloan are behind the gravity machine where they wish to make a fortune out it. Their irresponsible behaviour and the lust for money have caused the upheaval on earth.

Alex does all he can to stop the madden gravity pull of moon towards the earth and to safely dispose the gravity machine, when a new problem comes into picture and Alex and his partner Okana have to use the Gravity machine to save Earth from the danger that is fast progressing towards the Earth.

What is that is going to damage the Earth and how vastly will it affect Earth, keep turning the pages to find out what happened next?

Incredible piece of story and filled with raw emotions and the need to the Earth over loved ones makes Alex a true hero. What will happen when the entire ordeal is over? Will Alex move on with Fala or will he be the adventure junkie he is?

The sequel of the book will reveal the facts!

Hoping to read the sequel soon and honestly speaking it was that kind of book that I didn’t want to put down until I have read it to the last page.

Tired and heartbroken he wishes every war to be his last so that he can be with his love. The story has a twist and to find out what happens to Danny keep reading and under what circumstances he finally meets his love.

The only thing that I didn’t like about the book was the grammatical errors and typos. If I ignore that then it is a great book which describes the turmoil’s of war how lives can change when you are so far apart from your true love.
