Author Interview:
1. What inspired you to
write the book?
The remarkable events’
following the death of our son was the inspiration. On a daily basis, we were
receiving calls and emails from his friends and acquaintances, telling us they
had dreamed of him or had symbols of his presence.
2. When did you realise
that you want to write a book?
I am a psychiatric
nurse and I have always encouraged my patients to journal in an effort to
reconcile emotional conflict or pain. Following my own advice, my journal
became the book.
3. Who helped you in
writing the book and please say about their contributions?
I wrote the book alone,
however my wonderful husband, David was instrumental in the format and the
editing of the book and all of the computer needs.
4. How is your book
going to inspire the readers?
SACRED MESSAGES offers
hope to the individual suffering loss. It describes the proof of life after
life and will change the way one looks at death. “One need only open their eyes
to see.”
5. If you are given the
chance to change one thing in your book what would it be?
I would have included
more photographs, the one way to freeze time.
6. How do you find time
to write and which part of the day is best for writing for you?
I am a Psyche nurse
with a long commute. I often write as the other drivers drive. At other times I
prefer writing into the early morning while the world sleeps, a quiet, pensive
time.
7. Which books have
inspired you the most, in the journey of writing this book?
Books written by
authors who have also experienced spiritual and mystical events. The Bible will
always be a source for me as well.
8. What is the best
advice, you would give for writers who are trying to write a book?
Write down every
thought. Keep a pen and tablet near your bed for those unexpected inspirations
as you sleep.
9. What are your
hobbies?
I enjoy traveling with
my husband, reading, gardening, going to movies and wandering in dusty antique
shops searching for treasure. Most of all however is the precious time spent
with our sons, Matthew and Jason and our seven grandchildren….they are the core
of my life.
10. What can we expect
from you in the future?
